I've updated it.
just a couple of things right now...
depending on the sales I'll decide later if I want to try to sell more.
OH, Doh! I already mentioned that

the store
I added a couple of items. I figure it's only $0.20 to list and then a small percentage if I make a sale, so I'm listing my summer makings. I'll see how I do the rest of this summer and then I'll decide from there if I should bother keeping the store stocked

a few more tiny projects
Jewelry.
I haven't worn much by way of jewelry for a while. maybe I've let myself go in more than one way... but that's neither here nor there...
while this summer is hot and uncomfortable I have decided to work on small crochet items so I can continue to be doing something without making myself more uncomfortable.

goth choker/ankle bracelet $8.00

I have decided that my particular tastes and designs should be categorized as 'shabby chic' but I will be ridiculous and call it 'abby chic' - ha ha
but that's not really far from the truth being that I've never been overly fancy. I'm more simplistic in my taste in clothes and jewelry

I have to measure these again so I can list that information as well...
I'll do that soon.
I don't have a huge inventory
but I have been gradually making (creating) just to keep myself from being bored

wow! it's hot!
I haven't done a whole lot of crocheting in the last couple of weeks and I've really bounced around on my projects. I haven't completed anything for a while either. I really do feel kind of bad about that. but in my defense, it has been really hot and not only that but humid as well. I can safely say that this is the most uncomfortable Summer we have had in about 10 years.
so the other day I sat thinking about how I haven't finished anything for a while and it's due to the discomfort of being covered in a yarny project so the solution is to go smaller.
WASH CLOTHES! they are small projects that I can finish quickly and they are wonderfully useful.
so I have been making some of those.
I'll get pictures up soon of the totally simple gems

can't one project be enough?
I have gone back and forth with myself about whether I should keep going with my little store or not.
I really am not a salesman. I just don't have it in me to be pushy or whatever it takes to be a salesperson... but I just can't stop playing with yarn.
in fact this week I have 5 projects that I am currently working on - more like switching between - and I have a list of more that I have plans to make either for friends or just to make them.
I have fallen in love with Tunisian style crochet. I am making a shopping bag with this particular style. I learned a new (to me) stitch and just took off.
it really does work up quickly and I would have been done with it a long time ago if I hadn't been so distracted with other things.
last week I was looking around on Ravelry and found a tunisian crochet group. someone had mentioned recently discovering 'tunisian in the round'. interest piqued. looked it up and the next thing I knew I was at Hobby Lobby buying a double ended hook.
ok. so that just isn't enough for me I guess. How about a crown for cutie girls to play dress up?
I've made several of these before and I have even sold my pattern for it a couple of times, but I have never made one to sell. maybe I will save it for the farmer's market in a couple of months and see if there is any interest.
that's not all... I have a couple of bracelets, too.
I made this one and it is a bit big for my wrist but it would be just adorable as an ankle bracelet. Emma really liked it and so I made this green one -still needs clasp- but it would fit her very well... so I guess I will be adding these to my list of Farmer's Market inventory
then I just had to get all ADD and add one more thing to my long list of things I am already doing but not finishing yet.
I have been wanting to work with sock yarn for a while but have put it off mostly because of the expense. Sock yarn is kind of spendy at $5 for 1.75 ounces of yarn (for me that's a lot), but I have to tell myself that I am getting over 200 yds of yarn.
anyway I am working on a toy. A crab to be exact - which the picture is not at all helpful in realizing my dream. I've started and pulled it apart a couple of times already, but I think I am now on the right track. hopefully I will have a pattern soon.
then there is the blanket I am working on for my son for Christmas (see previous post)
My list just keeps growing and growing. what's wrong with me?!

I'm working on a Christmas present.

I am making a TARDIS blanket for my son.
I don't know if I will write out the pattern yet. it will just be very simple with single crochet stitches for almost the entire project. I suppose if I'm very happy with the end results I will take the time to completely write it out. currently I'm working from a graph I made. that will be part of the pattern once written.
by my calculations it will be gigantic. 4.5' x 7.5' (tee hee) I haven't gotten too far on it. so far most of my time was spent on drawing up a graph for it and calculation amounts of yarn and then deciding what size hook so it didn't end up 20 feet long.
At least I have until Christmas to finish it.
:)
